Frederick Pfeifer-Lichtfuss studied international economics and business law at the University of Innsbruck and spent a year abroad at the University of New Orleans (USA) as part of his studies. After completing his legal training at the Innsbruck Higher Regional Court, he completed his doctoral studies in law at the University of Innsbruck. His dissertation was awarded the Science Prize of the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce in 2021.

Frederick Pfeifer-Lichtfuss has received numerous awards for his academic achievements, including merit scholarships from both the business administration and law faculties at the University of Innsbruck. He was also included in the President’s List at the University of New Orleans.

He then worked for over three years as a trainee lawyer at CHG, focusing on contract, corporate, and commercial law, as well as mergers and acquisitions. During this time, he passed his bar exam with flying colors.

He then spent three years as Corporate Legal Counsel and later as Deputy Head of Compliance at a listed ATX group in Vienna. There, he dealt extensively with issues relating to corporate governance, company and capital market law, and compliance.

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Frederick Pfeifer-Lichtfuss is also active as a lecturer on topics related to corporate law, compliance, and ESG. Since the 2025/26 winter semester, he has also been a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten in the Master’s program in Digital Management & Sustainability, where he teaches the course Compliance & Law.
