Ilse Pohl is an Associate in the Public Business Law and Public Procurement practice group.
Prior to joining the firm, Ilse Pohl served as Team Leader for Public Law and Public Procurement at ASFINAG. Together with her team, she advised on infrastructure projects from the permitting stage through to contract award and was responsible for complex procurement procedures from the contracting authority’s perspective.
She previously worked in the Public Procurement Department of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, most recently as Deputy Head of Department. In this role, she advised the entire ministry on the conduct of procurement procedures and was involved in the implementation of a standardized internal procurement process. As a qualified lay judge at the Austrian Federal Administrative Court, she also gained in-depth insight into the judicial assessment of public procurement matters.
Her comprehensive experience on the contracting authority side, combined with her insight into judicial decision-making, informs her advice to clients.
